Heating

Heating in a home is vital. It is essential for living in a healthy and safe home. Poorly heated housing can seriously harm your health. Cold, humidity and mould can cause poisoning or respiratory diseases.

The owner must therefore provide a heating system that is compliant, safe and in good working order.

And if the accommodation does not yet have heating, it must at least be pre-equipped – i.e. ready to receive a heating system (e.g. gas supply, exhaust pipe, etc.). This is a requirement under the Brussels Housing Code to ensure the safety of the accommodation, common areas and surroundings.
